Good place to buy cheap toroidal transformers?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knew of any good Australian places to get toroidal transformers for significantly less than the major retailers. I've found a 300VA one on RS for $56, which is pretty good I guess, but I just wanted to check to see if anyone had come across a better place.

did you try to contact a local transformer manufacturer? they often cheap and make a very good 1 up to your specs etc

I maybe can help you for the toroidal transformer, need specification, then know price.

I found this 1.2kW toroid for $20 at a junk sale.
Sadly it had a laser attached which turned out to actually work. So i couldn't bring myself to rip the toroid out. hehe

how much it weights? btw is that laser actually takes the 1.2kw?
