Labtronix Sell-Off of Siglent Equipment
« on: December 03, 2023, 07:57:19 pm »
This is William from Labtronix in the UK, after 13 years I've decided to wind-down to do other things.  As a result I have some new and ex-demo kit to clear at good prices.  Please feel free to have a look at the list below (or attached), it's not quite exhaustive so do ask if there's something you want but can't see.  I can only ship to UK locations, generally at no cost but depends on your address.  Labtronix is VAT registered and you will get a VAT receipt with any purchase.  For multiple purchases further discounts may be possible.

If you would like more product detail please visit the website (labtronix.co.uk), if you would like to buy please email to enquire@labtronix.co.uk including your delivery address and mobile number (for carrier tracking only), I will send an invoice by return email with payment options: PayPal, CreditCard (via SumUp web link), bank payment, cash on collection (by arrangement only).

I left AC Sources off the list by accident, I have 1KVA and 3KVA models in stock if anyone's doing electrical safety or EMC compliance testing!

I will do my best to respond quickly to enquiries but please accept that it may take a couple of days.

Thanks

William

Hi, I just sent a PM but I could have just written the message here for convenience. Will repot here.

I might be interested in the PEL-8150. I want something that is good at doing say 1 or 2 or 30mA type loads at 3V or 5V. I have other programmable loads but nothing that works well at lower currents. The spec appears to show it does it but I wondered if it does?

Thanks

Trev

Thanks Trev,

PEL-8300 has better sensitivity than the PEL-8150.  I have the 8300 on a bench now comparing current with an SDM3065X.  Although you can adjust current (with limit set to 6A) at 100uA intervals the load actually responds in 500uA increments.  It's pretty faithful from 1mA upwards in 1mA increments, I see an offset of around 500 to 700uA which might actually be the SDM3065X needs calibrating rather than the PEL-8300, the offset stays like this at least up into the 100s of mA. If I have time I can repeat on PEL-8150 tomorrow. I did this at 5V.  Hope this helps.

Hi William

Did you check the performance of the PEL-8150? Could you also elaborate on the difference in sensitivity please?

Thanks

Hi Trev,

I can do it later this week if you're still interested.  I'll post the results in a couple of days.

Thanks

William

Here is some requested information for PEL-8150 and PEL-8300.  I setup a bench PSU at 5V with a 6A current limit.  I connected the following instruments in series: SDM3055 (current measurement), SDM3065X (current measurement), PEL-8150, and PEL8300.

Initially I set the current limit of PEL-8150 to 6A so it would not regulate current, I regulated current flow using the setpoint of the PEL-8300 in the range 0 to 5A, recording measurements on 1 2 5 scale.  Then swapped round to use the PEL-8150 to regulate the current.

Please see attached.  In summary PEL8300 is marginally better down at the mA range both have an offset in the ~1mA region which becomes less significant as current increases. Minimum voltage is <100mA.

I'll post a picture of the setup later.

Regards

William

Hi Everyone

I also have an SSA3021X available, it is used and repaired by Siglent (the tracking generator was damaged).  It includes the TG & EMI options, there is still evaluation time left on the other options.  This would sell for £999 at Hamfest, looking for best offers over £850.  For an extra £150 I'll add a set of Siglent EMI probes.  Please PM me for further details or to make an offer.

Thanks

William

Hi all,

Just to say I purchased the SDG1032X from William/Labtronix and I can highly recommend the seller: communication was great, shipping was quick and the function generator exactly as described (i.e. brand new, still in its original box with the Siglent seal).

Thanks again for your business!

And I just ordered a PEL-8150 from William.  William got right back to me, it arrived incredibly quickly and is already earning its keep.  Thanks for offering these great deals!
 Very happy.
