I would eventually like to have it, somewhat depending of the price.
Fully working or not, I don't care too much, if all the parts are there it's ok.
More as a study/project/discovering possibilities, no real production.

Unfortunately "Collection only"
If you try and take a cat apart to see how it works, the first thing you have on your hands is a nonworking cat.

It has to be "Collection only" because large lasers made of glass don't take kindly to being thrown around ;D

You see almost a steady stream of forum threads over at photonlexicon that start something like..
"So i bought this laser off ebay and this is how it arrived.."
Normally followed by a pic of broken glass

I can just see me at Heathrow, saying that the 20kg of stuff next to me is carry on luggage.

You could take the laser out and pack it in a seperate box.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

With that size tube the box would be bloody big to survive the postal system.

Every now and then I send a CRT. I use a small inner box and a large outer box. No problems at all.

CRTs are generally thick glass and more or less a box/sphere shape with a vacuum inside to hold them together.

Lasers are under little or no pressure are long and very thin. Sometimes parts of the tube are 5mm in diameter with thin walls and run the entire length of the 60cm tube.

If only I lived closer to London I would stop by and pick it up.

It might be worth looking at LaOS Laser - they've designed an open source circuit board and software that plugs into these cheap Chinese laser cutters and makes them work with a simple printer driver and/or a simple piece of software called VisiCut

No more NewlyDraw, NewlySeal and Chinese error messages. I've got a red one from HPC (which is presumably similar to yours) happily laser cutting in the lab.

It would be nice but an ND.YAG laser would be nicer about 5KW.
