Need LTZ1000 or LM399 for project
« on: March 18, 2014, 08:14:41 pm »
Hi,

Looking for "reasonably" priced LTZ1000(preferably) or LM399.

New and NOS prices from authorized sources are crazy-expensive on my budget.
I generally don't trust eBay to be able to get an authentic part.

Perhaps someone knows of a source of pulls at a reasonable price that they bought on the market that met specs?

So, maybe some of you out there have some used/pulls that you could spare
for a nominal price of 15 USD bucks a pop. I'd buy a couple of tested LM399
or LTZ1000 for 30USD + First Class equivalent postage.

Thanks.
William

http://uk.farnell.com/linear-technology/lm399h-pbf/v-ref-6-95v-shunt-0-3ppm-c-3to46/dp/2295479?Ntt=LM399

That, plus 24% VAT for my country works to around 15$. Shipping from Farnell to me would be about 5$ but I guess I could cover that up by placing an order for myself.  It would cost about 3$ to ship to you.

So if you're interested, it's doable.

Thanks Mariush for the info. about new stock on the LM399H#PBF at element 14.
I used the complete part number for a search via Octopart.
Really surprised to find that several trusted vendors sell the lm399 made by Linear Tech.
Digi-key has a bunch of them at about 10 bucks USD a piece.  Happy, happy, joy, joy!

I just made the assumption that the lm399 was out of production because it was such an old part
and when searching for the part on the web, I assumed that I missed it on the L.T. product site
because I didn't use the complete part number that L.T. uses.

My bad.

I'm going with Digi-key, but thanks for the tip and the offer.

You saved me a lot of head banging.

Linear sells their LM399 directly on their website for US $6.64 each in singles. I have no idea what their shipping cost is, or in what country you live. I'd think you could not find a more trustworthy source; you know it will be genuine and new. Just FYI.
