We have one or two retailers here that have a sale price guarantee - or whatever they call it.
Buy something - and if that item goes on sale with 2 weeks, they will credit the difference to your customer loyalty card (yes, you have to join - at the time of, or before the relevant purchase)

Anyone having issue with the code provided above? I tried it, got an error about using the code in combination with other offers (I had only the scope in my cart), and then it messed up the pricing on my order (added $250 to the previous total). I had to abandon the cart. I'm waiting for Friday after Thanksgiving to contact Tequipment sales.

I always suffer the fate of something being on special after ordering it from another source and its happened again. I ordered this scope last week for $630.00 Australian and it turned up here in the forums for nearly $200.00 less. :-BROKE Lets hope your'e one arrives in good nick if so I'm switching to these guy's to buy from. seems like a grab.
I recently bought one, in September, but just got around to unboxing it due to redoing my workbench. I just spent the last 20 minutes attenuating the probes, and am now using it to track PWM from a MSP430 and temperature output from a LM35. Using them together to make a closed loop temperature control system for an academic project.
The 1054z is working wonderfully.

Please let us know what the final landed price will be including shipping and whether or not the unit will still be covered under warranty locally by the Australian Rigol agent.
I ordered this scope last week for $630.00 Australian and it turned up here in the forums for nearly $200.00 less.
Please direct me to where this oscilloscope can be purchased for $430 AUD landed in Australia, the listed price for the DS1054Z from Emona Instruments is $579 AUD +10% GST = $637 AUD and as far as I know no further discounts apply on these scopes in Australia other than the SA decoder option which is currently included on the 1074Z and 1104Z models.

Google riglol and you can find the free options for self-install later.
In other words, the lack of free options at time of purchase would be of no factor for me.

Not sure what you did/happened, but you cannot combine discount codes.
That's what happened to me. I thought it might be because I chose Paypal checkout instead of regular checkout. It errored on the discount code entry in Step 2 and messed up my cart. I'm talking to a living being tomorrow over the phone.

I like the idea of having the software upgrades legit, but if you want the 100Mhz you are going to hack it anyway. This kind of negates the "bonus" of getting the software for free. I have seen a thread in the For Sale section about this sale where someone used the code and got the price to $326 with free shipping. Hard to pass up, but I still have to wonder if they are not reducing stock ahead of the release of a new model. That would seem a logical counter to the 4 channel Siglent scope that it to be released Monday. Dave

So true. I deleted the free software upgrade item in my cart, left the rest intact and submitted using the discount code. Went through no problems and total for the DS1054Z was $328 with free shipping.

Seems like a shopping cart glitch. I would think a phone call or email tomorrow, along with your paid order confirmation number, would produce the unlock code(s) needed. With the almost universal knowledge of the hack I can't imagine these software upgrades have any monetary value to Rigol anymore. I would think that even in the corporate or educational markets where hacking just does not work, that Rigol passes along these upgrades at no charge as a sales incentive, though I have no actual knowledge of this. There is a Deal on the RTB2004 with PK1-Bundle. It is 2609€ at Reichelt. And you can get 7% off with Shoop cashback.
The DS1054Z is at 379€ at Batronix. But thats not a major discount.

Taked to tequipment this morning, they honored the BND promo and the coupon code, It is not working on the store though, said they would apply it themselves.
Really cannot beat this price, and legit licenses for decoders and triggers etc.
Sale support was easy and fast, so no hassle, I just used the online chat. Impressed.

Does anyone know if the 100Mhz version has been equally discounted? I never paid any attention to its price because of the hack. Not a lot of point getting legit software upgrades if you are going to do the 100 MHz hack anyway. Dave

I think the advantage of getting the "legitimate" options package from Rigol during this free promotion versus the "riglol hack" activation, to me is that the entire scope and all the options are warranted by Rigol. You get full tech support from Rigol and the seller and full warranty claim support too because the unlocked options "came with it". Because unlocking it yourself you are in a gray area.
Looks like TEquipment fixed the shopping cart glitch it is taking the discount! Was not yesterday!!

I just wish they'd update the kit so the free trial time only burns off while your using the actual upgrade and not the entire time the scope is powered up. Seems like it would be a more fair implementation of the free trial. At any rate, I got my reply from the sales staff via eBay and they very politely informed me that it was a no-go. Let that be a lesson for other less experienced blog members like myself; use the TE website directly and go to the discount thread to request the code before you shop. A $50 mistake that I wont make again. Thanks again to TE and Rigol for taking care of the forum members.

You bought it from Tequipment via eBay ? And the sales staff would not give you the current deal, while the Teqip. Vice President is here on record saying they will? I think you should contact this Evan Cirelli directly and take it up with him. If your 1054Z really came from Tequipment I'll bet you get it. Dave

Dont want to go on tangent but i thought the trials only timed when they were active not powered on?

The DS1054Z doesn't have a real-time clock like higher-grade scopes. So, the trials count down anytime the scope is powered on. It doesn't matter if you use the features or not.
They probably could've stored an accumulated runtime count based on a timer tick, but any extra work adds to the cost. Ah, well. Caveat emptor or use the riglol codegen.

I second that thank you. The explanation makes perfect sense. I plan to install the codegen hack shortly and I was also serious when thanked Rigol and TE for the great products and service to the community here (Incase anyone thought I was being sarcastic, I certainly was not). They have a great line of gear and it’s well worth the asking price.

I bought one for $328 delivered at TEquipment on Black Friday with the code Evan Cirelli has shared on page 2 (still active I think) and with free shipping in USA and the Rigol-official software key that unlocks the serial decoding, triggering, etc. 4 options. TEquipment has already emailed me the unlock code. They are still $399 at Amazon and without the license upgrades. Either way both these great sellers will get my future business so it is great to have both vendors so active in our forum. Thanks!

Yeah, I ordered mine lastweek from Tequipment. They are great sellers, specially these would help hobbiers to off the ground with good kit of Electronic Test equipment at good price.

You should be able to apply just the unlock code for 100MHz bandwidth to the scope, keeping all the other options you paid for. I did that with mine.

The same deal applies for Bartonix for few weeks now.
You have to add the taxes for the batterfly deal. Then you have to pay ~400€ like all the time, but you get the official options.

Would it not be a better comparison with the Siglent 4ch scope? I know it is more expensive, but at least it would be apples to apples. Besides the price, having 4chs is what made the 1054Z king of the hill in the entry level scope market.

Not to forget, the Siglent features a newer chipset which makes stuff like remote SCPI command handling and the UI much faster and responsive. Even autosetup feels a lot faster.

Sorry, should have clarified it a more bit. I compared the scopes because they are in the same price field - even if they got other features.
4 channels is not mandatory for me, 2 are enough. I was interested in the overall quality, since the unlocks for the DS1054Z are free at the retailer I'm going to buy either scope,
that means no need for hacks, since it's coming installed already.
The other answers also helped me a lot, I'm going to buy the Siglent. Thanks guys.
