There are ATMs at the Clayton Rd shopping strip a couple of minutes up from Osborne Ave.

I’ve already withdrawn limited cash to reduce the urge to buy stuff that in reality will likely become a burden.

I intend to arrive about 930-1000. It will be interesting to see how they do pricing & the behaviour of buyers. I expect it will be somewhat chaotic.

Would be cool if someone could get some video for posterity.

UH OH ! Got an email from them yesterday --  Cash payment for goods on the day !!! --
Hopefully it means - they will hold it until you rush to an ATM ?? Sure don't want to be bringing $1,000s(??) cash with me in case I need it etc.
Is this normal? Options?
Update: Seems PayID is fine - can do direct transfer from mobile app
I can record some video (phone), hopefully it won't be a melee :-)

Dropped in for 2 hours. The Flickr photos posted by Dave show most of what was on offer today, from about 10 palettes of junk right through the gamut of test gear up to old hp microwave ca. AUD $1000, with no assurance of full working order. Most items over $50 have prices on them. Interesting variety of decade boxes and very old metrology pieces.

I think they are currently generally trying for market value & what some folks might pay, but very few real bargains overall for name brands. The experience was pretty laid back. Maybe 50 ppl there. Chatted to Bernie’s son.

Did get some video (phone). Main one is quite large so need to cut it up or lower the resolution etc
As gbadd mentioned, wasn't as hopeful as expected - not able to test anything to check if working ok. I didn't end up with what I was looking for.
One more day Sunday, and maybe one next week or so, then off to auctions !! ... then e-waste
