It does what it should. Lots of TI sample code to look at.

I never really gotten into it, wasn't fan of the crippleware (code size limited) Eclipse based compiler package, as I didn't really want to waste my time learning too much about MSP430 and then not being able to develop real products without forking out hundreds (thousands?) of dollars for a license.

I have a TI Launchpad too, and the crippleware thing put me off using the chips.

A chronos watch for 24.5$ !
You don't find a watch from a big name semic company anywhere else but TI !
I hope it is decently quality because if its decent it is blooody cheap !
