[No Longer Wanted] Tektronix Variable Resistor Pot P#263-0099-00
« on: November 13, 2022, 04:17:16 am »
Hi, I'm looking for a rotary knob with the P#263-0099-00 as per photo attached. It's one of those knobs that you turn and becomes spring loaded after say 45 degrees to 90 degrees.

Any leads on where to look would also be very much appreciated!

Sorry about the rotation of the image, no idea why that happened, seems upright everywhere I look on my devices.

Do you have a 3D printer? If so, you might be able to find a compatible knob on Yeggi (https://www.yeggi.com/q/tektronix/), or design one yourself. That's what I did with my 2235

Like here is a knob for Tek 24XX

I’m after the pot, there’s nothing wrong with the plastic bit, the pot sticks needing a power off cycle to reset the scope. It just starts to pan uncontrollably in one direction 33% of the time.

Then I suggest editing the first post and title, because right now it says you're looking for a knob. The pot sounds like a specialty item to me, so short of a parts donor or sources like Sphere and Qservice, your best bet might be trying to repair the existing pot. Maybe it needs lubrication, or there's something mechanical that can be fixed?

Changed. Yes it’s a Tektronix manufactured part as far as I can tell.

I was wondering if it can be fixed somehow.  I was hoping for a simple replacement, maybe someone had a donor unit lying around.
