its a combined solder/tig unit.

very handy when you need to repair both the equipment and its electronics after an accident.

Ahhhhh. Makes sense

We had a opening for a job at work, the ad stated smd experience down to 0603 required. Someone bluffed their way through to an interview, then was asked about their previous soldering experience and the reply was “Yeah, I can weld good”

Not that strange. Weller uses 3.5mm plugs on their RT range.
