I've used mine for a decade and worn out the buttons.
Looking for unused.

on Ali there is or was some conductive "button stickers" pads  ....


On ebay  you do have them, and some at 16$ usd ... & 7$ usd and many others    etc ...  come with the infrared dongle .....

Trust me, my ATI remote is in much worse shape than my photo.
I use it all over my house as the RF works everywhere to my media PC.
Its membrane when new is also water resistant as I also use it while on my exercise bike.  Most other remotes die within a month, not lasting anywhere near 10 years.

I'll have to ebay buy from the US if I want an un-used one.

First you should just thoroughly wash rubber buttons with detergent and wipe PCB with alcohol. I bet they're covered with fat that seeped through the rubber. Usually should be enough to restore functionality. Next step is removing a very thin layer of conductive rubber by gentle sanding. Only if that does not fix the issue you should be thinking about gluing anything to the buttons.
