Wanted: Free/Cheap oscilloscope for beginner - Germany
« on: June 07, 2013, 08:58:21 pm »
Hello Forum,
as a Student interested in electronic i'm thinking of buying an oscilloscope. Since digital oscilloscope are really expensive and i only got a small budget i'm wondering if someone around Germany has an old analog oscilloscope not in use anymore. Two channel would be great to have :). I'm currently living in Bavaria, Germany.
My Budget is roughly 50€ ~ 70$

Thanks in advance,
Marco

You'll always see some old Hamegs (2ch, >=20 MHz) on Ebay for around  30-50 bucks. But don't fall for the commercial sellers with insane prices.

Hi,
first thanks for the quick reply, i've already looked on ebay, but all the hameg (and other brand) oscilloscopes are sold at a price higher than 100€, they seem to have quite higher prices here in Germany for analog oscilloscopes

I've got these listed on ebay,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hitachi-V-552-50MHz-analog-dual-channel-oscilloscope-/251275425801

PM me if interested, I can do it for £79 delivered to Germany.

Just checked Ebay.de. Currently there are about 10 Hamegs for €1-30.

I've been checking scopes on the german ebay for the past week, most <40MHz scopes went for less than 80€.

But make sure, that you get a photo of the scope actually showing both traces on the screen.

Just checked Ebay.de. Currently there are about 10 Hamegs for €1-30.
not sure ... they are biddings, so the price can end higher
the buy it now are more than 100€, even 200-300€ for a 20MHz scope ! come on ..

Sure, they can end at a much higher price. My advise is to determine a maximum price and stop bidding if that threshold is exceeded. Otherwise you'll pay more than you would normally do, pushed by the fun of bidding (it has to be mine :-).

Nearly all buy-it-now offers suck. Absolutely insane prices! I looked several times for older network stuff (Cisco, Juniper) and guess what, just buy-it-now offers from professional sellers and totally overpriced. I stopped looking.
