WANTED: Multimeter from EU
« on: July 21, 2011, 05:52:34 pm »
Hi!
I'm looking for a good multimeter in the 50 Euros range.
I've seen the blog from Dave reviewing some units (EX330 and AM-220) and I think the EX330 might be my choice, but I'm open to other options.

Another issue is where to buy it cheaper.

Thanks!

:)
I'm from Portugal, but I was hoping to find an online store that ships goods to all EU.
I know some, like batronix, tekequip, conrad, but I was hoping to find cheaper ones.

I found one (via eBay Belgium) that is selling from Luxembourg en shipping to Europe: eBay auction: #350469044776

When i go go ebay.pt, I cannot find it: http://search.eim.ebay.pt/?kw=extech+EX330&ect=&elc=3&eb=Pesquisar
Apparently ebay.pt thinks Luxembourg is not Europe?

Anyhow, you can log into ebay.com instead of ebay.pt.

Happy shopping!

I haven't seen the review, but I have AM220, and the continuity buzz is this really odd semi-strangled noise, although the meter itself is quite OK.

Here is one that would ship to Europe:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amprobe-Fluke-Compact-Digital-Multimeter-AC-DC-/400230600457?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item5d2f9a4f09

In terms of price, it's just about 50 euros (29.95GBP+7.95GBP)

Yes the specific seller in UK is very reliable, and know distributor of major brands.
I got from him one set of Amprobe test leads, about few months back.
I would recommend this seller too.

I found a solar powered DMM, multimeter.  The solar powered DMM is not very strong or industrial strength like a Fluke, but does not needs frequent battery changes.  I would not know, where one would find this in the EU or the U.S.A.  I bought it from Hong Kong.

Surf here:

I would not know, where one would find this in the EU or the U.S.A.

It is a Sanwa. Sanwa lists distributors per region near the end of this site http://overseas.sanwa-meter.co.jp/
