WANTED - Sony Tektronix 308 Data Analyzer Front COVER

I have a really nice Sony Tektronix 308 Data Analyzer that needs the front snap on protective cover. The part number listed in the manual is 016-0408-00. @Bud recently sold one with the cover. I hope he doesn't mind me borrowing one of his posted pics as an example!

this simple rectangular shape should be easy to design using some cad program, and then 3d print it ?

since you have a tektronix name under sony  it may or should be possible  to find it at TEK ??  normally they have a printed number on them ?

try to find your dimensions

or similar search like tektronix scope dust cover ....

Thanks for the suggestions. The 308 is much smaller than it may appear in pictures. The front bezel measures about 7-1/2" wide by 4" tall. I've searched on the internet and of course eBay, but no luck so far.

I'm still looking for one of these if anybody has one or knows where I can buy one. I keep looking on eBay, but none have popped up.

So if I understand correctly, you have 1 of this part and need another?  I could help with designing a 3D printable part for you since I have access to a Keyence metrology grade scanner that I have been using for a lot of reverse engineering.  This looks like a simple part so I would be happy to do it for free, you just pay shipping for the part both ways.

That's a very kind offer, but I don't have one to copy  . I'd really like to find an original cover as it would be simpler and no worries about it fitting.

A matter of scanning the instrument front bezel / panel     and create the opposite ??

can a software deduct this from pictures at many angles  .... but in the end ...  cost ??  that's a good size panel too ?



last options are flea ... for the originals
