Where to Buy Components
olsenn:
I just thought I'd start this thread to share information on where good deals can be had on passive and active components. I've included some of mine below:
DIPMicro:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1/8 Watt 1% Metal-Oxide Resistors: http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-RF450
Crystal Oscillators: http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-XC1
1W Zener Diodes: http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-ZD2
0.5W Zener Diodes: http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-ZD4
Ceramic Capacitors (Multilayer): http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-CK2
Electrolytic Capacitors: http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-EC2
LED's (3mm): http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-LED3
LED's (5mm): http://dipmicro.com/store/SET-LED5
*I also typically buy my semiconductors (1N4001/1N4004, 1N4148, 1N5711, BAT46 2N3055, 2N3904/2N3906...) from this site. They are very quick to ship and have NEVER screwed up one of my orders.
Futurlec

Awesome resource. Love the futurelec site, really cheap components.

Futurlec has by far the cheapest prices I've ever seen online, and it is also has teh largest variety of parts to choose from. My only complaint is that it is SLOW on shipping and they often screw up the order (make substitutions without notifying the customer). Still my favourite place though

Well, making substitutions is unacceptable if they're not notifying the customers. I just want to stock up on resistor's, caps, and some inductors. I really like the amount of IC's and voltage regulators they offer.

For the most part you get what you order
