WTB [EU] HP 34401A Screen cover

Hi, I'm planning on selling an old HP 34401A DMM. It works ok and is in great shape, however the screen lens is somewhat/quite scratched. I would like to replace it. On keysight apparently that part can't be ordered.

I don't mind buying an used one as long as it looks pretty.

Preferably with the HP logo.

For ordering at Keysight you have to be an company

Your best luck is to buy it on Ebay,  but they are selling it at a doubled price

if not,   sand it off and repolish it,  yes you loose the logo

The lens with the HP logo doesn't exist anymore  unless you try on ebay   Or someone has one dormant ??

If the scratches are away from the logo, then you could sand and polish just the scratched area. I did that with a lens for a similar HP instrument a couple of years ago. Note that you need to start with sandpaper that is course enough to remove the scratches so it's fully opaque, and then polish it to fully transparent again. It didn't look new, but was much better than before.

Yeah, and on top of that that part is not orderable anymore on Keysight.  Maybe there is one dormant somewhere , who knows ...
