Only for the car type of clamps, the PA-09 is much more suited for the open barrel double crimp type miniature connectors.

I came here looking for the same thing; a used PA-09 (or PA-21).

These can't be beat by the ratcheting and other crimping tools; If you look at youtube there's tens of video's comparing them and the Engineering PA-09/PA-21 always come out on top. 2 Examples:

(Sorry for the embedded video's; I tried to post a link only but it gets turned into embedded video's  |O )...

I normally don't mind spending a little extra; a good tool is half the battle and good tools may cost a little extra. However, I rarely crimp such connectors (in my case: dupont connectors) which would probably come down to $2 per crimped connector after about 5 years  ;D So if there's a place where I could get my hands on a used PA-09/PA-21 for half the money that'd be great. Unfortunately my search hasn't turned up anything useful (yet). I could go for the clones or ratcheting stuff etc. but I would rather get my hands on the right tool for the job in the first place. I know I want to have my cake and eat it too, but, hey, one can dream, right?  ;)

I doubt anyone will want to part with one!

Once you can quickly and reliably do these crimps you may find yourself doing a lot more of them..
