WTB Analog ESR meter
« on: February 15, 2024, 09:55:30 pm »
Hello, guys!

Ready to buy ANALOG ESR meter, I mean the ESR meter with the analogue scale.
Can be hand made, but good quality and 100 KHz frequency.

Thanks for attention

Hi,

Is there any advantage compared to a digital one (e.g. an LCR meter with (ES)R indication)?

Some would argue an analog display is easier to read for pass/fail and possibly repair of the whole device if made with common parts.

For me if the tester uses a large digital display it's way easier to read and recall the measurement values. Low ESR caps may be harder to read with a lack of resolution.
