WTB Australia TRIO CO-1303D Oscilliscope
« on: December 30, 2022, 10:51:03 pm »
Im after a Trio CO-1303D Oscilloscope.
this was my first Scope in 1981, bought it from Ellistronics in Latrobe St Melbourne December 1981.
Would love to have one again.
There are a few on ebay but they are overseas, postage is not worth it.
Cheers

I can't help you any but your comments reminded me of buying the same CRO many years ago - also from Ellistronics (Spelling?)  Lots of fond memories of early hacking.

Good luck,

bye

I also can't help with your hunt for a 1303D, but I did notice this Ellistronics advert whilst reading an old copy of EA last night.

There are few from Philippines:
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/274180164892
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/402343858098
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/402022076770

Not sure why they are so expensive, A$125 to A$380 and the shipping is over A$150.  I remember this scope was common at the AM/FM radio assembly line in 1980s.
Have a holiday there and bring them back.

I remember these cros, they were affordable as was the single channel 10 mhz forgot the name   :-[    (later was a big test gear company)

but I rolled with a used dual trace 15mhz Trio Kenwood CS-1560A ? instead, advertised in The Trading Post  :P

Still have it, it refuses to stop working great, and looks easy to fix if it dies

Here's the PDF manual link for the 1303D

Good luck scoring one  :-+

I see two for sale here in Japan, one for 1000yen the other for 2000yen.

I could ship one to you. I also have the matching audio oscillator on my shelf if you want that. :D (there was a whole set of matching test gear available, it pops up here in Japan from time to time).

Not sure if you can see it from Australia:
https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/search/search?p=CO-1303D

I'll be back in Brisbane and Adelaide over christmas too, failing postage and if I have space in my luggage.

You'd have to check the mains voltage thing though, I don't know if they are voltage selectable with a switch or wire links on the transformer etc.
