Wanted: Hayt Engineering and Circuit Analysis
« on: February 26, 2022, 01:24:21 am »
If any of you have a dusty copy of, say, the 8th edition AND the solutions guide, that you are no longer using and would like to sell for a couple bucks plus shipping, I'd be most grateful.  I'm working my through, painfully, the Hill/Horowitz "The Art of Electronics," but my head hurts.  I found an online pdf of the Hayt book and it's really helping, but I'd much rather have the real book. The solutions guide would be wonderful, too. I live in the NE US, zip code 13104.

Thanks in advance for anyone who'd be willing to contact me.

Just following up.. .found a hard cover copy on ShopGoodwill, but if anyone has the accompanying solution guide to the 8th edition, I'd be very grateful.  Thanks!

Hello,

Are you interested in a pdf version for a personnal use or electronic hobby use?
" Engineering circuit analysis 8th ed (William Hart Hayt, Jack E Kemmerly, Steven M Durbin)"
Best regards
Djil

Definitely for personal use; trying to teach myself as much as possible.  I found a pdf version of the 8th edition text proper online, and have since ordered the hardcopy version used from Goodwill.  Right now, I still would very much like to find the solution guide for the 8th edition in order to validate my work.  A hardcopy would be preferable, but the pdf version of the solution guide would still be more than appreciated. The few that I've found have all been links to questionable sites, or student work, some of which has been incorrect or poorly presented. I'd love to find the official solution guide.  Thanks for the reply!

I may be mistaken but I think the only "solutions" mentioned in the book are instructor provided on the publishers website. There are a few books, latest 2012 but they don't seem to align specifically with Engineering and Circuit Analysis editions. Perhaps they are just solutions to generic problems rather than an answer book. One of the reviews said two of the authors are dead and the other butchered the book, lots of errors.
