Yes i saw that price on the itron site...

I also saw one a couple of years ago on ebay germany but didn't pull the trigger, no i am regretting it big time!

I had to replace the hard drive in mine(slow and noisy not dead), removed the scandisk from cfg when not shutdown (programming error in my logging), and I did some capacitors as a preventative measure since they're placed next to regulators but haven't had any other problems.

EDIT: I've owned it for 2.5 years.

Hello from the past, I think. If not mistaken I sold you my 8017. Missed it ever since in scouring the planet I've acquired 2 of which neither boot. I have not opened either for actual inspection. Maybe something loose is stopping the boot, , but doubt it so must start from scratch with an image.

They are clean units just not go. One has multi-channel scanner the other has rear-jack field option.

Any chance of getting an image?
Any advice appreciated.

You may want to attach the hard disks to another computer and modify config.sys to bypass the chkdsk. It literally never finishes. The image I had posted some time ago but you really want your cal.

If you dont want Scandisk to Scan automatically, without prompting you, add the line AUTOSCAN=0 to the [Options] section of the Msdos.sys File.
