WTB Some old HP equipment plastic buttons.

Another piece of antique HP gear arrived with a missing button. Which makes several missing buttons now.
The small square buttons. Colors: 1 x bone, 5 x green. See pics.

Does anyone know of a source for these, or have some spares they'd sell? Or even some old unwanted boatanchor with intact buttons the same. I'd like to find a few more too, so I have spares.
No luck with Sphere.

Edit to add: the HP 8018A that is missing the 5 greenish buttons, could also do with a medium sized HP knob. See added last 2 photos. There should be two identical. One is mostly missing, the other has a missing top cap (but that I can improvise.) The intact one is off another 8018A. Shaft size is 1/8", 3.175mm.

I'm after a couple myself:  1x White (for my 3478A) and 1x Green (for my 1740A).

There is a file on the EEVblog you can download to do some with 3D printing.  You can find the file  here  - but I know I'll never match the green to the other green ones.

I had also made some 3D designs for older HP buttons and posted the STEP files somewhere
They are easy to 3D print or even made professionally with Stereo-Lithography and look and feel like the originals.

I do have some from a scrapped 1744.
A small envelope is the most cost effective.

Btw, it would be interesting to see lowimpedance and HighVoltage bump into each other. Sparks would fly.

Well that was unexpected. Apparently HP modified the shape of those little buttons sometime in the period 1979 to 1983. Who knew?

In the pic the longer one at left is from lowimpedance, off a HP 1744 scope (introduced 1979.) Matches buttons on the HP 8018A serial data gen (introduced 1978.)

The shorter one on the right is from the HP 5180A waveform recorder (introduced 1983.)

There's a slight change of the inside dimensions too, but the longer one does still fit the latter 5180A. It's just quite easy to pull off, and projects a little bit further than the rest of the buttons.

I'll measure the button lengths and add them here. Tomorrow.

Interesting.  There's something I didn't know.
