I'm guessing that some 10 bit, 1k sample per second ADC, that's rad-hard and meant for space will cost twice as much Dunno, would be very interested in the pricing for that kind of device.

The ADCs they use in satellites to measure *millimetres* difference in sea level would probably not be cheap.

If you had told engineers in the 80s that in 2019 there would be converters of this performance as cheap as $2780 in small volumes they would have found that hard to imagine.
