I'll bet the ones in that 110GHz Keysight scope cost 50 times that.

I'm guessing that some 10 bit, 1k sample per second ADC, that's rad-hard and meant for space will cost twice as much :) Dunno, would be very interested in the pricing for that kind of device.

Some 16-bit 2 MHZ hybrid converters from the 80s cost that much when new.

The ADCs they use in satellites to measure *millimetres* difference in sea level would probably not be cheap.

If you had told engineers in the 80s that in 2019 there would be converters of this performance as cheap as $2780 in small volumes they would have found that hard to imagine.  :)

That's the single unit price though, I'm sure it goes down if you buy 10,000.  :-DD
