Can you still get Aliexpress to delivery to Australia Post Locker?

Thinking of moving and getting all my mail sent to a P.O Box

Used to get Aliexpress deliveries via Australia Post. But, not lately.  Seems to be some courier service that leaves stuff on the front door step or the steps up to the porch.

If Aliexpress Standard Shipping is the same as it is in NZ, then they run a huge bulk shipment of everyone's orders into the country all at once every week or so.
Then they use local delivery companies for final delivery within your country.
I wouldn't expect issues with local delivery services into a PO-Box, but yeah, i'm in NZ so probably not at all helpful.  :-//

If it is to be delivered via Australia Post, then that should be fine.  If it is via any other carrier, then no.

Everybody has access to street addresses, by only Australia Post has access to Post Office Boxes.

There is a twist to this - especially in more sparsely populated areas:  Under an agreement, one carrier will carry parcels from multiple carriers over "the last mile".  It saves 10 vans travelling long distances to deliver 10 parcels.  As far as I can discern, this should not impact PO Box deliveries.

You can sign up for a Parcel Collect address for free, which is just like having a PO Box, without the physical box (in that all deliveries get sent to the post office for collection), but with the added bonus that courier companies can deliver there, not just Australia Post.

Although not in Australia, for me choosing Aliexpress standard shipping results in random delivery method. Small parcel may be inserted into my postbox, into parcel machine run by post, may need to collect it at post office or it may arrive to parcel machine of another company (Omniva), so post even never handles it. Sometimes seller may even ship from EU warehouse and get it delivered by DPD or GLS to address and you must be present at home for them to give it to you.

Well experiment wasn't unsuccessful.   :(

Delivery failed
Delivery attempt unsuccessful. Package wasn't picked up in time

Back in the old days pre-covid.    I used to get everything shipped from Aliexpress sent to a Postal Locker, that was about 10 minutes walk away from the office.

I haven't used Parcel Collect, but according to their FAQ, it will only work if courier company uses AP for delivery

Yep, I second this experience. I'm sure they have optimized things for them, but I've found that's resulted in Aliexpress delivery being so random that the probability of having a problem with a delivery has risen considerably. YMMV depending on your location I suppose. So I've cut down ordering from Aliexpress a lot.
