Just sit and watch, watch until you can accept that these things exist and this is what the majority cares about :-DD --- End quote --- :-DD --- End quote --- Get off my lawn. |

I do technical videos for those with having a common interest and want to know some in-depth technical details. Certainly not for everyone, and I do not get my feelings hurt if the masses don’t watch. I’m also a proud boomer. Can we at least gang up and trash the GenZ that is partying and going to bars and doing the opposite if social distancing? |

They are just doing what they were taught. It wasn't GenZ who pioneered partying in violation of common sense personal hygiene and normalized blatant disregard of their elders :P |

For those of us who've been around awhile it's kinda amazing how things never change. Every new generation does the same as the previous one. "We know everything, old people are idiots who are destroying the world, and we can do it better cuz we're awesome/cool/groovy, and we also deserve free stuff cuz it's not fair other people have stuff and we don't". The hippies of my generation said it, millenials are saying it now, and everyone in-between has been saying it. And then at some point we all grow up and learn the hard lessons, thereby becoming the (hopefully) smarter old folks, who the new generation then feels compelled to trash. Because young people know everything and can do it better. :D BTW, has anyone actually seen any of those communes of free love, free sex, and free money that the hippies wanted to believe were real? :D I guess they found out that all the magical free stuff was actually coming from one of their members who had really rich parents :D Anyway, GET OFF MY LAWN !!!! |

Ok guys, I had to browse wikipedia for a while to get more info on "GenX, GenZ, Boomers, Millennials". Interesting reading. Quite a long wiki page on who used word "Boomer", or "OK Boomer" first time. Pretty educative, indeed. I've learned today I am GenX. I've also learned why "the vast majority of the universe seems far more interested in watching cats playing piano on youtube than watching tech/learning videos". --- Quote --- The [GenX] cohort has been credited with entrepreneurial tendencies, and was the last generation for whom higher education was broadly financially remunerative. --- End quote --- TALK TO THE HAND!! :) |
