1024x1024 pixel lcd?
(1/3) > >>
DiTBho:
I'm working on an engine to track my blog activity; I need to figure out what the average resolution of the devices visiting my site is, and I see this:

--- Code: ---Chrome:1024x1024x24@UnknownOS

--- End code ---

it looks weird, is there *really* a laptop or tablet with a 1024x1024 pixel lcd?  :-//

Some early plasma display panels made by Hitachi-Fujitsu were widescreen 1024 pixels wide and 1024 pixels tall.  So non square pixels.   For even more confusion technically they were 1024x512 resolution panels but they could discharge each sub pixel on the top or bottom alternately (ALIS technology) which effectively doubled its resolution.   (They later extended to 50" panels with a 1280x1080 resolution before their 'last gasp' being a 55" 1920x1080 panel.)

The 1024x1024 ALIS panels often advertised themselves as 1024x768 or 1368x768 resolution panels by VGA EDID, but if I recall correctly, they did have a native mode that allowed use of the full pixel array - perhaps your viewer has done that...

Or, perhaps, more likely, they're fuzzing this data to prevent the very tracking you're trying to do;  UnknownOS might be a clue to this!
DiTBho:
Available screen height and width come from this JavaScript

--- Code: ---function browser_info_probe()
{
   var ans;

   var y1 = screen.availHeight;    // Available Height
   var y2 = screen.availWidth;     // Available Width
   var y3 = screen.colorDepth;     // Color Depth
   var y4 = screen.height;         // Total Height
   var y5 = screen.width;          // Total Width
   var y6 = screen.pixelDepth;     // Color Resolution
...

--- End code ---

If the os would report a normal mobile OS then it could also be a smartwarch.
