ESD floor mat over carpet

I’m moving into a new rental and unfortunately the room I’ll be working in has carpet. I briefly considered laying down plywood and vinyl plank over that but have most likely decided against it as it sounds too complicated. But i still want to protect against ESD at work areas so in addition to table mats I’d like to have floor mats. Any recommendations for something that would work well? I’ll need to be able to wheel my chair around it and would prefer that the mat or whatever floor doesn’t move around too much. Do I need to put a piece of plywood between the carpet and mat? Any other thoughts/recommendations?
