"we cut things open so you don't have to" uhhhhh no. They destroy perfectly good things in the least effective way possible, then point out components and make slightly educated guesses at what things are or completely misstate what things are. For example "power banks". An example of their immense stupidity is their video "what's inside a shot put ball?". It's literally a solid chunk of metal, which they tried to cut in half using a chop saw. In this attempt, they dulled 2-3 blades and did not even succeed at cutting all the way through. I'm not against all of their videos, and some of the older ones (for example what's inside a golf ball) are interesting. I just hate when they ignorantly destroy something perfectly good and put the bare minimum of effort into educating their viewers.
:-// I guess it's just not for everyone.

If there were more well paid cannon fodder jobs going, >:D
there would be less dumbass Youtube videos wasting bandwidth :=\

That unfortunate trashed TV, assembled with pride in a Japanese tech assembly line, had a goldmine of good/top parts in it, and most were probably working,
I STRONGLY suspect the 'OLD as Lincoln' TV was working perfectly before that paid clown :bullshit: :bullshit: :bullshit: and his 'do as I say or else' kid :scared: abused it to oblivion.
I have a similar or same model 65" Panasonic plasma, and 6+ years later it never misses a beat,
with a clear NATURAL picture, not a dressy glass covered postcard with color overload shoved in your face, annoying your visionary senses. :palm:
and I don't give a rats what it weighs, I didn't buy it to use as a portable traveling 'presentation monitor'.
That smart mouth -product prostitute- wanker set a POOR example to the kid, his useless performance an outright INSULT to everyone interested or involved in electronics, :--
the uncaring jar ass successfully contributed yet another piece of good kit to the landfill, whose salvaged parts could have saved MANY other useful devices.
The neighbor should keep his kids away from such product slutskys in case they get injured or die on the next paid stunt,
sell up and move out to another humble burb that has techs, EEs and electronics hobbyists etc :-+
I will NEVER be buying that LG OLED brand he was promoting, nor dealings with Dolby,
**** them, haven't they got enough money to be resorting to bottom feeder product advertising marketing stupidity like this ? :palm: :palm:

You're totally right.
That guy is a total asshole who doesn't know a fking thing 'bout electronics. I guess he doesn't even know what a screwdriver is.
Somebody seems desperate to get some views.
EDIT: commented on that vid

Wow. People here have no sense of humor. Anyone bothered to look into why they created their channel? Apart from that, it's a freaking TV. You guys are acting like they burned down an orphanage or something.

too many douches wasting too much bandwidth...

I genuinely did not find it funny, educational or anything but crap. :-//
I guess that's what entertains the young folks these days?

When new that TV most likely cost $10000+. Even used and broken it has significant value in it. Even if you want to just show what's inside and destroy it, do it in a meaningful way.

Three words: It's a thing.

The video just passed 600K views in two days :palm:
Meanwhile, the EEVBlog teardown of a plasma TV is at "only" 159K views in two... years |O

If we can trust YT view ratings, they seem to be promoting :bullshit: :bullshit: :bullshit: dumbass stupidity loaded with click bait videos, hosted by motormouth annoying f***tards,
and back of the bus treatment for useful content by NORMAL PEOPLE with skills and talent.
The younger generation are being 'encouraged' that -dumbed down- and -cool- are somehow related. They are not.
The younger gen (who will soon be the next older gen) should realize (BY NOW!!! :o ) that the current older gen are not the enemy in the war for their minds,
and pockets. >:D
I've watched the 'EEVBlog teardown of a plasma TV' twice over a period,
it's one of the vids that helped me pull the trigger on buying an ESR meter,
which is a must have if you're in a multiple capacitor scenario and need fast go /no go/ maybe
without pulling stuff out you may not need to. |O
And yeah, pretty certain those plasmas cost a LOT of moola$ in their day, mine was one of the few left on clearance,
the price and natural image quality was a no brainer, the salesperson insisted I bring it back if not happy!

Oh look! 2,271 dislikers! EEs!
All the likers are just fueling the fire. Somebody gotta stop this channel.

I'll volunteer to help get that channel on top of a garage roof, and drop it on to the concrete driveway (twice if necessary) :-+
I won't participate if there are kids around
but no problem if there are Likers directly below >:D
