EEVblog Wiki
« on: July 29, 2010, 05:34:55 am »
I have now set up an EEVblog Wiki, linked via the menu on the front page.

Nothing on it yet, and no real idea of the direction other than to have links to suppliers, equipment spec breakdowns, whatever.
If you have any idea, let me know, or simply edit away!

It's just a bare-bones MediaWiki installation at present.

Dave.

Working on adding some fancy style to it, it's pretty hard to do that without images because those are blocked.

I wonder if it would be worth adding a section explaining the theory behind some of the electronics in the blogs? Not too sure how it would work though....

Yeah, a tutorial section would be great!
Will it be free for external authors or be restricted on just the forum members?
However, i'd like to write something...

Wow, is all that stuff under the Discussions tab Insta-Spam ??
It didn't take them long.

You should make the Suppliers tab editable my registered members just like the Manufacturers tab is.

Having played with it a bit ... a couple more suggestions ...

Add a major category for "Beginners". We could add common links for frequent beginners questions. For example, a link to http://home.cogeco.ca/~rpaisley4/LM555.html , the best 555 site I've found.

Also a major category for "References".

For example ...
datasheet sites
publications, professional
publications, hobbiest
etc.
I'm either at my bench, here, or on PokerStars.
