Cheap EDA software.

CHEAP AS (SILICON) CHIPS

I couldn't help noticing that Aliexpress has some real cheap EDA software for sale.

If you look around Aliexpress you will find other cheap software.  :-DD

You gotta be shitting me?!  Who in their own right mind would send somebody in Hong Kong money for obviously bootleg software? At best they're selling time limited or crippled demo copies of the real deal.  If you even get it at all it may not run right and then there's that pesky little problem of potentially being complicit in the commission of a felony.  And at the bottom of the product description they state, in chinglish of course, that they accept no liability when the parent company drags your ass through court  :-DD

If you were happy to buy that, what would stop you just downloading it from the internet? A dial-up connection is all I can think of.
Indeed. And they work OK because the big companies are releasing these cracked versions on purpose to get their 'heroine' into upcoming markets. Once the copyright laws are enforced they start to collect money from the companies that got hooked to their software.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

put your pc in offline state (if you can live with that), then you'll be fine ;) - btw, i havent met Mr Jack for sometime now.
