I had a drunken fight with a soapbox preacher once right where they parked at 28:35.

Rest in peace Mr Hawking. You did more for humanity than most.

Funny how the Epstein Island connection got conveniently swept under the carpet...

The extent of Hawking's "connection" to Epstein's Island as far as I know is that he is known to have attended a BBQ there at the invitation of Epstein while he was speaking at a conference sponsored by Epstein, and he took a trip in a submarine while he was there.

If attending a BBQ with somebody later found to have committed crimes makes somebody guilty, well I'd be pretty screwed then.

Well we'll never know for sure, maybe? You gotta admit, the whole thing stinks to high heaven. Lawrence Krauss, Prince Andrew, the Clintons... Yuck, is pretty much all I can say.

Of course, we can all turn a blind eye if we all so choose.

Behind the scenes of everything is a scandal slowly unfolding. Give it a few years. Everyone will burn.

Or apparently we can turn the "go nuts over a single picture with no context available" eye if we so choose...

Well, no one's "going nuts", and there's plenty of context for anyone's perusal if they should so decide to follow it up...or you can just continue to block it out?  :-//

While I don't subscribe to the "never speak ill of the dead" school of thought, one has to question the motivations of someone who does so, so soon after the event, in a thread about a recently deceased person's funeral. The tastelessness aside, you're making implied accusations of the vilest kind, on no evidence at all of any impropriety. One could possibly surmise that the motivation for indulging in such a course of action doesn't have the highest motives behind it. Indeed, it looks like trollish attention seeking and if it is, given the context, it is one of the saddest, most pathetic examples of said behaviour that I have seen.

If I'm wrong and in fact your motives are of the highest order, your judgement is still deeply, deeply flawed in thinking that this would be an appropriate time and place to give your thoughts an airing.

Either way, I, for one, don't think your behaviour is acceptable, and I suspect that a lot of people here would agree with me. It's probably best that you quietly leave the thread at this point.
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

Looks like Professor Hawking is going to have a spot in Westminster Abbey right next to Sir Isaac Newton. I can't think of a better final resting place.

No, you just offended someone who knows how to conduct themselves like a human being. Don't bother replying, you're going on my kill list, you're clearly a troll and a truly pathetic one at that.
