hey
I am sorry if I am posting too many questions lately , busy time .... :palm:
as for the question - on the title
thank you in advance :P

I could be wrong but i have always considered "Spell Check" to be performed by the browser itself rather than a given website.
Regards

I didn't know there was a spell checker in the forum? :-//
-
LOL
there was , shame I didn't took a pic of it :-//
any how , can it be the new server update ? :palm:
-
Yes, there used to be a spell check button next to the post and preview buttons. I never used it, doesn't any modern browser offer spell check these days?

According to the SMF site (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=489231.0), it requires that the pspell libraries are installed and the the php config is set correctly. Perhaps this wasn't done on the servier change?
As other have pointed out though, most browsers will take care of this when creating/editing a post.

Ah, so it does. It's enabled, but it says this "this does not work on all servers!"
So the new server likely doesn't have something installed that not to do with SMF.

Buger , I used to use that feature ! :palm:

it looks to me that the spelling check button is gone, and better yet the auto spelling check and correction are on in the same window as one types the post.
if you have not noticed this, you may be better than average (or perfect) in English.

I never noticed before that their was a spell-check button !... :palm: as far I can recall, before and after the server change, I always had a spell-checker, that still works even now :-+ on my PC; I live in Jersey the Channel Islands, near France. ???

Firefox has a built in checker, though you do need to change it from US English to UK English, or add in extra dictionaries. Otherwise you do not get colour at all.

I am using Chrome :-//
