Wow!

And then of course you can weld with car batteries:

And who needs a welding helmet:

Or you can make your own helmet:

What is interesting is that Asians never sit on their knees but always stay on their feet.

interesting paper welding shield. I wonder if he regularly wets it or just makes a new one each time they catch on fire.  :-//

Oh lord. I thought my Frankenstein conversion of a shitty rusted up SIP Migmate 120 to a MG15 Eurotorch was bad  :palm: At least I have an apron and gauntlets, not to mention an auto dark welding mask!

(PS: If converting your hobby MIG welder, do not go for a 4 or 5M Eurotorch, get the smallest 3M - you will thank me!)

I don't think I could sit on my knees. I might manage to knell on my knees, but sit?

I have to give them credit for creativity, but I think I'll stick with Miller and Lincoln, thank you very please.  And there's something to be said for protective gear, too.

Less than sixty quid ... http://www.amazon.co.uk/VonHaus-Lightweight-Warranty-Welding-Accessories/dp/B00H8MZCY2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449479316&sr=8-2&keywords=welder ...

Hardly what you'd call expensive  :)

Chances are the one they are using works better  :-DD

I'm subscribed to that youtube channel. Occasionally they do a subtitled video, but usually the auto-captioned, auto translated captions are enough to follow along.

Having worked as a welder, I can tell you that I would never weld on my knees... that is an open invitation to spatter balls getting wedged between the floor and your knee cap causing a burn. Your boot won't care about the spatter balls on the other hand.

A couple of those chaps were welding in flip-flops and sandals, I don't think they're bothered about a bit of molten spatter  ;D
