I would not be surprised if the 3 months become 3 years, unless they can reuse an existing system from another aircraft. Even then it has to be fully recertified and this is not some 'simple' control loop which just controls the trim. Actually sounds like a meeting I attended yesterday. Management wants it done in 2 years. Was not amused when I estimated taking 16++ man years. Which has based on the actual time it took 3 other very similar projects. But two years it is, going live with a big bang. Time to jump ship. |
