Any FREE parts database for windows 7x64? Online services, need not apply.

Like all electronic hobbyist, I have a lot of parts hoarded throughout the years.
So far, I've been relying on memory to know what I have and where they're at.
Now, at 60, I find it challenging to know where all the hundreds of different parts I have are, and how many and where,...
I would like to have the ability to store PDF datasheets along side with the usual parts data, and all has to be stored locally on my computer.
I can sit down a few weeks and write one in MS access, but I'd rather not do that, being lazy and all...!
Quitting forces are strong with this Jedi...
Surely some one has been bored enough to write a useful program like this, during all these years of WindBlows 7 in operation!?
I don't want to pay a monthly fee, or rely on internet connection. I have enough people sucking on my tits every month as is.
Is that too much to ask? Apparently!  |O

You can install on a rapberry pie or on a virtual machine, or even on  windows , But  isn't that simple

I simply use Excel, each part type on different sheet, and I record the box name where it's stored. This way looking it up is quick and easy. Also I've printed a QR code labels for each part with URL to the datasheet, so I can quickly open it on the phone in case I need it (typically to find out which way around the part is supposed to go on a board).

I'd think that Occam's razor would apply here; just use Excel or similar. Why waste all that time and effort overcomplicating what amounts to a database?

How about: http://web.archive.org/web/20140914021211/http://www.frostbow.com/files/fshi5_trial_setup.exe
I use the paid and registered antique collection version for cataloging my vacuum tube and antique electronics parts I pickup from here and there, flea markets (boot sales) etc.

Frostbow is gone and nowhere to be found. The link is from the original site.
I scanned it today and no virus, was, or ever was detected on my version.
You can customize the field names to suit your needs. I did, see below.
It looks like the same thing as mine only the fields customized for antiques.

The only issue is a nag screen to register at startup.
How long the unregistered version will last who knows. I don't see any phone home issues.
