Hi,
I came across the project below from a YT blogger. He's designed and built his own Wharton style LED clock w/WIFI time sync. YT vid in the link.
https://sdgelectronics.co.uk/wharton/He's offered the build files for use with JLCPCB so others can make their own. All but 2 components are assembled by JLCPCB if you upload the BOM. You need to add an ESP32 and a light sensor. The cost for 5 assembled w/delivery to the UK comes to 35GBP ea, but you have to add the above components to that and program the ESP32. Source supplied as well. Add a box with perspex...PSU...
Just wondering if anyone has done it.
He's made one with a matrix display as well, but I cannot find the build files, so the above clock is the one without the matrix display.
It uses the ESP32 to connect to your WiFi AP/Router. Presumably that means you have to re-program the ESP32 when you change the router ssid/username/password.
Interesting project.
Regards.
