AoEX Fig 9x.87: Voltmeter not on sense terminals ?

In the top left corner of the full schematic (Fig 9x.87) for the "laboratory dc power supply", the voltmeter is shown connected between the +OUT and -OUT terminals.

That makes no sense to me.

The meter should show the voltage at the point of load, excluding the wire-loss to get there, so it should be connected across the +SENSE and -SENSE terminals.
