Everyone wearing gloves and so careful taking the modules out...

Then during testing (at time 5:28), they soldered wires to the gold connector pins.
Just how to you get that cleaned off?

"Apollo AGC Restoration" --> NO!         "Apollo AGC Destruction" --> YES!

A few things:
1) I could not imagine that these guys would do that
2) No soldering iron in sight
3) No solder to be seen on the pins later in the video
4) Looks like the wires are "hung" on the pins and not soldered?

And they are working in a hotel room.
Look at the bed in the background.  Time 3:40

Yes ?
Don't see anything peculiar on the bed (at least not a soldering iron...) ?

The wiring in the modules was originally welded but this was beyond the capability of the restore team so they used solder.
Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks.

Yes, but the posts above was about the pins of the modules, not internal in the modules. I would think that if the put solder on the pins/connectors they would have a hard time inserting them in the backplane again....
