[SOLVED] Is the forum broken or its my browser ?
« on: October 05, 2019, 03:39:49 am »
While reading TEA thread  :P , I noticed there is a yellow sign on the lock, meaning the page is not secured.

I was viewing this post -> TEA thread post #40636  ::)

But at the forum's main page, its secured.  :-//

Running at Win7 and latest FF, with No Script and UBlock Origin add-ons, but both disabled specifically for this site.

Anyone experiencing this too ?

Malwarebytes also flagged that page due to something from "cubeupload"

If a page has external pictures that are not transferred using HTTPS, it is considered a mixed content, thus the warning.

But currently the page has two hosts for photos from external, which are secured.

Example links of the photos hosted externally.

If you check a little closer, no, the embeds from cubeupload are not HTTPS.

That's not an embedded image, that's your browser having navigated to it and chosen to use HTTPS.

The images as loaded on the page are over HTTP. That is why it is warning you about mixed content.

Wonder why the poster didn't use HTTPS ?

Testing below, using forum's IMG bbcode attaching this particular image using HTTPS instead -> https://u.cubeupload.com/worsthorse/IMG0792.jpg

Yep, this whole page of this thread is still secured.

Learn something everyday, thanks.  :-+
