Are fiber optic borescopes still good?
« on: January 17, 2023, 04:16:05 am »
I bought a 1990s vintage fiberscope for real cheap and the picture quality is much better than the cheap camera-based things. But it does have that funny analog-pixelly thing going on, but the brightness and clarity are so much better than the cheap random camera thing I bought on eBay.

Just for fun, I wanna ask at what price will electronic borescopes have a usable picture and what brands are good? Are there any that use a fiber bundle but a better camera in the handle instead of the tip for example? Like besides a hospital.

Also how are you supposed to bend these things around a corner in a wall? Just twist and shove and hope it catches on something?
