Looking for a similar microswitch
« on: February 23, 2017, 01:27:31 am »
Hello all,

I'm looking for a microswitch similar to this one (small and very low profile, side contacts, it's one of those who click on press, snap-action):

This one apparently isn't manufactured anymore. There seems to be some stock around but at outrageous prices.
The same Saia-Burgess company has a similar model

but I want to know if anyone knows of anything similar, as I can't find any other similar models from any other manufacturer. Current & voltage not important. I'm based in Europe, so preference for something I can buy in Europe.

Thanks a bunch!

thm_w, thanks, but those won't fit. The one I'm trying to replace has the pins exiting the case on de side, so it has only 5mm total height. I know about the ones you suggest, the thing is the pins are "available" on the side but exit the package at the bottom, so the total height is still very long.

Meanwhile I could find an SMD one, I think I'll go with this: http://pt.mouser.com/new/Omron-Electronics/omron-d2ls-switches/
