Will this ever end?
I can understand in an analog amplifier maybe having a better more rugged power transformer and better DC power caps, but, in this digital BS, the only part that matters is the DAC and it's clock in the analog output device. Anything else would be a failure in broadcasting the error free digital data from point A to point B.
Funny, when I use my WiFi, filled with local interference and lousy clocking and noise, the exact same bit-stream reaches my sound card's output whether it was in the originating computer with it's HD, on an Ethernet cable talking to the remote HD, or on the WiFi doing the same, over even over the 'internet' where who knows, every other device in the link throughout the world wide web is guaranteed to not have audiophile grade components.
