Quote from article:
“Solid gold bodies achieve the lowest ‘longitudinal elastic modulus/density’ resulting in incredible clarity and a transparently pure audio signal.”

No different from people who buy gold and diamond encrusted iphones or ipads. Except this might actually last longer before becoming obsolete and therefore being a better investment for those with more money than brains.

I don't think this counts as audiophoolery. Its a jewellery fetish thing.
-
I dont see the audiophoolery here either. Its just really expensive furniture.

I would rather just put a bunch of Gold Kilo bars next to a regular old stereo. At least those I could readily exchange for money! Yeah. This one feels more just like show off look at my gold toilet seat sort of thing. Whatever. Rich lunatics make the world more fun!

I think the gold stereo is more practical than the toilet seat. I'd find it hard to lift a solid gold toilet seat to pee, and then I'd get in endless trouble with certain other users.

How does a "solid gold" speaker work?
Gold isn't magnetic,so that's part of it gone.
The cone & coil need to be insulated from each other,so there's another bit that isn't solid.
Gold isn't all that flexible, either,so the cone is a bit "suss"!
By the way,I've been watching the cricket in "HD".
Switched over to another channel which had it in "Standard Definition"--no visible difference!
"Videophoolery"? ;D

"One of a kind" when the serial number on the back of the speaker reads "2094" ? I'd say someone has just had a play with CAD tools.
