Title: Aussie Invader Land Speed Record Attempt, not politics or world affairs
Post by: joeqsmith on October 30, 2019, 12:26:07 am
A video from this channel came up as a YT recommendation over the weekend.   I wonder how far away they are located from Dave and what it would take to have him conduct an interview.  I imagine to it takes a fair amount of electronics and some good control systems to operate a 200,000 HP engine.    Looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Dave's in Sydney and Rosco is in Perth - which is the opposite side of the country.  The drive would be about the same as San Francisco to Cleveland.

Rosco is getting long in the tooth. It's been a very long term project. He was right into it in the 80's.

Land speed stuff is cool but I'm not really that interested in rockets. I'd definitely spend time watching any attempts they managed though.
