I've just made this week an Instalation of one of this charging points in a neighbour...

Well constructed but too expensive for the function when there are good alternatives for cheap, being the Zappi the biggest one.

At least I'm just the installer, not the supplier of the equipment, so product warranty is not with me.

Are parts of the charging points not available, or is it the lack of new Electric Vehicles that ruined their sales?
goto considered awesome!

Looks like the 'Supply Chain' is the excuse.  I take it their business model was installing their own model of charger, rather than just installing EV chargers.

Of course they are the manufacturer of their own charger, Andersen A2. They are not a EV installer. Same as Myenergi with the Zappi EV Charger (Dave have one).

They're only EVs; it's hardly a crisis.

I've always found the cost of EVSEs to be ridiculous anyway. It's why when I moved house I took my one with me rather than leaving it on the wall; a new "basic model" is nigh over £360 ex VAT [1] for what is essentially a 32-amp double pole contactor, DC compliant RCBO, and controller board, in a weather-resistant casing. Where is the money going?  It feels like it should be around half of that. Is the volume just not high enough yet or is there some other cost that's not obvious?

Update - https://andersen-ev.com/acquisition/

Looks like it was bought by another company founded this year.

Old customers warranty claims and access to the app was guaranteed.

Nothing said about the old employees keeping their jobs on the new company.
