Machines were mice and Men were lions once upon a time, but now that it's the opposite it's twice upon a time.

Looks like what Heath Robinson would have made if he had a Lego set.

fascinating indeed. we have 2 units of nxt mindstorm in our school for 5 years now (and 1 supplemental spare parts in a box), and i'm the instructor for kids competition every that year. and the fact is, that mindstorm is one of several item that responsible brought me here. but as an adult, i find this lego thing is boring me pretty fast.

back to that machine, it needs like what? 20 or even 100 package to buy? $700 or so a package? (our sci and math panel can barely do anything when budgeting for that toy years back) go on, buy and build that black magic machine. halfway the video i suspected it will go back to where it come from, i was right, so whats the purpose? at some point the balls are nicely color sorted, but then? sigh. i can see this is another version or domino effect in darwinian style, no offense but, a machine is to help people doing a usefull work, not wasting electricity by entertaining pussies. and not to mention the miss/failure rate, is pretty high. just rewind and watch for "out of bucket balls".

you missed he point. it was certainly a challenge to design and build. Of course the balls are just going around in circles. It is just a demonstration of various mechanisms. I found it fascinating and learnt a thing or two
