Ballantine 5500A counter, seeking info/manual/programming guide
« on: December 28, 2017, 03:19:41 pm »

EDIT: This topic was misplaced, it's now been moved here under the Test Equipment forum. Tx, Z.

Hoping someone has a manual gathering dust to loan/scan/sell. Docs for similar 5500B (later, non-Nixie tube) may serve.  Usual boat anchor sources came up dry.

The brochure indicates the unit is "fully programmable" by way of a single contact closure on the rear panel (two banana jacks!!).

It's a really a nice instrument, very glad I rescued it from the bin (just one shorted electrolytic), but that so-called 'programming interface' has really piqued my curiosity...

Did I mention that it's "ACCUMETRONIC" ???
