Banggood. Safe?
« on: December 10, 2020, 07:35:49 pm »
I'm about to buy on Banggood. Do people think that it's safe to use a credit card, generally?

Banggood is a fairly safe and reputable company. Never had a problem. I believe Banggood accepts also Paypal, so you don't need to give them your credit card info if you don't want to. Otherwise check with your bank - some do offer virtual credit cards where you get a card number that is only usable once for each purchase. So even if an unscrupulous seller tries to scam you, you are protected without having to resort to chargebacks and filing claims with your bank and what not.

OTOH, it is always prudent to keep your transactions to an amount you can afford to lose because sorting out an eventual complaint (not only about credit cards) can be quite an odyssey with these companies.

It is safe. Bought many things from there. However, I always used Paypal. I don't trust sending my credit card info.

Oh, the "whys" of the datasheets... The information is there not to be an axiomatic truth, but instead each speck of data must be slowly inhaled while carefully performing a deep search inside oneself to find the true metaphysical sense...

I used them several times.
Always got the ordered item but it usually takes time for the stuff to arrive. This is not unexpected.
Always used PayPal. If PayPal is not available I pass and go check elsewhere, same with Alibaba and such.
Some prices are pretty good but you might find the same item on ebay for much less. Worth checking.

Banggood is safe to use but always use Paypal, that way you got some insurance of getting the money back if things go tits up.
I've ordered several things from them and never had any issues.
Not to sure how safe some things are, things that go straight on mains electric, I'm a bit dubious about that.
But for the rest I've got no complaints.

Oh, and stuff usually arrives in 9 to 11 days with the odd one maybe being a bit longer.

Banggood is safe if you wear a condom.

Seriously though, I have used Banggood. No problems.

Just remember that it’s called banggood because sometimes your stuff is good and sometimes it goes bang :)

No its called bang good because they don't just use slightly underrated electrolytic capacitors, they put them in reverse as well so they really go BANG

The Banggood owners would have no idea what a good bang means in Australian slang. Worse still, there is a company in New South Wales that sells fodder. It's name is Fodder King. How they could use that name beggars belief. http://www.fodderking.com.au/

Not vouching for quality but as a platform it's OK. Once had an order that was MIA, refunded no questions asked.
