Step 1.  Define your budget.  This will help cull the list of alternatives.

Step 2.  Define your required feature set.

I am an ex TV service tech, now engineer, and I usually go for Panasonic or Sony.
Lately I am finding that Sony software wise is a bit "clunky"  and more tricky to use and setup the way I want. So now I go for Panasonic, which doesn't have that problem.

For example - I recently bought a Sony with inbuilt tuner, digital recorder, can do P.C. monitor and all that stuff, does the lot.
When ever turn it on or change inputs it blanks out the top one third of the image with a black panel that shows which input it is getting the image from, the mode and the resolution. It then leaves this black panel at the top one third of the image on screen for around 20 seconds.
Really very annoying, it some times seems more like 20 minutes, you know the feeling.
It also pops that panel up every time the input signal is the slightest bit noisy.
Also has other annoying habits such as has a sound equalizer that only works in some modes. Being older I need to boast the treble to make sound more intelligible and there are many more.
From my experience this kind of user clunkiness is due to lack of what we call a "decent field trial" that means giving it to users on trial and getting some feed back then incorporating that feed back into the product before release.
Yes it cost more to do that but I am paying more for these brands as I expect that is has been done.
From my professional experience I have often seen the reason for this was the product design was done by staff at the factory. At a different location, in a distant country that is famous for these kind of mistakes, and not designed by the head office.

What the hell is a "chassis TV" ?

Classic term for the guts of a TV - inside whatever cabinet and brand is wrapped around it.

For example, back in the 70s and 80s, the Philips K9 chassis was found just about everywhere - and technicians never talked about this brand or that brand, just the chassis - since that was the best reference.

The OP's question is stepping past brand labelling and is interested in the guts behind the bezel.

I would guess one that's designed to be installed inside a machine, for example arcade cabinets.
Cryptocurrency has taught me to love math and at the same time be baffled by it.

*VERY* VERY well noted....

That and the TODAY  so called "DC to DC converter"  in which
every single TV CHASSIS had...

BUT WAS NEVER CALLED OTHER IF NOT "FLYBACK"

The "FLYBACK" of chassis K6 is superimposed with horizontal
push-pull...  etc... etc...

Today newbies are just messing what a "FLYBACK"  really is
inside a chassis...

spoiled by these SUPERVISORs  and  ACADEMIA classifications

Paul..  :-+

Depends what you want.

Picture quality - Hard to beat OLED due to ultra-high contrast ratio and wide gamut.  However, panel life is questionable.

Price for performance - Any Japanese TV designed by the relevant company. Be aware that Sharp, JVC, Panasonic, Toshiba etc have all sold their name out and rebadged their cheaper chassis.

Best quality - Sony or Panasonic at the high price point (>$1,500 USD).
