I didn't find value in the CBC TV Marketplace tests. It's the usual energy capacity test at most +/-8% delta, when the reality is - batteries taking the piss and leaking is the main concern people have, the damage done to the device.
They should have also done the bubble test to evaluate the seals and gas generation of the battery's chemistry.
Where's the class action lawsuit against Duracell for their total garbage alkaline battery products? The ones the video shows leaking in the package, what a joke it's commonplace and Duracell will never fix their Berkshire Hathaway cheapened-to-rubbish-for-shareholder-return, products. It's the cover-up and inaction of Duracell's executives that is most infuriating. Thousands of mysterious
5-star reviews.
The warranty might cover a cheap remote control or flashlight damaged, but mention a $400 multimeter or expensive AV remote and they squawk hard, they won't pay for damages there and even insult you by suggesting you are scamming them with such an expensive claim. "Just mail that in and we'll look at it"
