Bipolar junction (funny pic)

I don't know how common this one is in the rest of the world but it's the first time I notice it here in Argentina.

I would be so tempted to "touch it up" into a proper transistor. A nice touch would be to use some black tape (electrical tape, electronics, get it?  ::)), and then you haven't damaged anything. Do it when the sign's dirty and it'll peel right off.

Er... I mean, no! Why would you even think of such a thing?

Love it!  Even better, draw in the rest of the schematic for something on the sign.

I wouldn't worry about damaging the sign.  I mean it's not like they are going to even see it after it's in it's new home on the wall in my lab :)

Besides that sign is probably going to end up causing accidents while people try to figure out what the hell it's trying to say and not paying attention to the road.  I'd be doing them a favor by relocating it!

My guess is that it describes an intersection exactly like the symbol - two roads merging into one, while simultaneously crossing the one you're on. There's an intersection like that near my house and there are so many near-accidents there, it's absolutely ridiculous. I can understand the point of a sign for it. [tangent]They tried to solve the problem by adding a little branch connecting the two merging roads a distance back from the intersection, but then stopped maintaining it and nobody uses it now for fear of falling through the potholes to China! Of course, if they'd just replace the damn thing with a roundabout or something...[/tangent]

Actually, some of the paint has peeled off that sign. Here's what it's supposed to look like.

It means 'debugging ahead'.

Why would you want to avoid sexually explicit topics? You clearly have the dirtiest mind on this thread!  :-DD
